Daisy is an innovative automatic solution developed by CDA, for separating self-adhesive labels from their backing, facilitating glassine recycling. This machine efficiently simplifies the label peeling process.
The operation of the CDA labeler is straightforward: once the tape band passed through, simply press a push-button to start the cycle. The labels are then detached from the band and wound onto a cylindrical mandrel chosen by the user, while the glassine is wound onto itself. At the end of the process, two distinct rolls are created: one with the labels glued together, and another with the glassine wound on itself.
While using our labeler, companies can think about recycling the glassine, which must be stripped of its labels. In recent years, recycling services have been developed, enabling glassine to be recycled to create insulating materials, for example. Daisy also has another very obvious advantage, which is that it enables this waste to be compacted, creating dense rolls for a more simplified storage, collection and dispatch.
The solution is adaptable and flexible, meeting a variety of needs in terms of automation and capacity. The Daisy can be configured as a multi-station machine or equipped with special trays to accommodate different roll sizes.
Thanks to this innovation, our customers can engage more easily in a greener approach by collaborating with waste management companies like Re-Use, or glassine recyclers like Soprema. Overall, this contributes to a more sustainable circular economy, transforming waste into reusable resources.
